This week's topic is "Obsession" suggested by Jessica Wong (http://her-artblog.blogspot.com/).
"Color is my day-long obsession, joy and torment." ~ Claude Monet
I have just returned from the islands of Northern Norway called Lofoten.
The scenery there is very varied with majestic towering mountains, sloped valleys with green fields and long beaches with white sand and the sea, vast and powerful.
The colors are amazing and they change abruptly as the weather changes.
We experienced bright sunshine from a clear blue sky, white creeping fog and dramatic heavy clouds of rain.
The sunsets are colorful and appealing to the eye. We did not see the midnight sun for it exists only between 28.05 and 14.07.
These days nature has been an obsession to me, a place to recover from sadness and grief.
This illustration could be of the beach called Kvalvika, but it is made in spring 1977 by torn silkpaper!
What a pretty place! I like the way you showed its essence with color.
SvarSletti would like to go that beach with my Love...
