Yesterday Glomma, Norway´s longest river, was completely frozen in the delta. Swans, ducks and other seabirds had trouble finding running water. Flakes of ice were like laps in a quilt. The crystallized ice rose like embroidery, and a fairly thick layer of clear ice formed the background.

The first swan flew away!
The pictures are not the world's best quality. I always carry a little Olympus Mini Digital in my bag wherever I go, for snap-shots. It limits the zooming and pixel capacity.
A very large river, if there are ice floes! I embiggened the photos, to get more detail, and that made them really funny. Somehow, I laugh at swans whenever I see them walking! The cygnets really didn't seem to understand what was wrong with the water!
SvarSlettTo me it looks like poetry. Very well done photography. Please have a wonderful Wednesday.
